Computer Forensics Services

Computers are now at the core of people’s activities and evidence contained in them is being introduced with greater frequency in both civil and criminal judicial proceedings. Questions arise regarding the location of evidence stored on digital media, analysis of that evidence and the authentication of that evidence in court.

The field of computer forensics seeks to answer these questions and provide experts to introduce this digital evidence in court.  Forensics services are being utilized more frequently in domestic disputes, employment cases, civil suits, criminal cases and investigation work.

For what purpose would I need computer forensics?

Any time you believe information exists on a computer that may or may not be needed in litigation, you should immediately enlist the services of a forensics expert.

Why can't my IT staff retrieve the data?

Although IT personnel may be very knowledgeable about hardware and software, a forensics expert is experienced in forensics methodologies and legalities needed for the evidence to hold up in court.

What should I do if I think evidence exists on a computer?

If possible, discontinue any use of the computer, place in a secure location and contact a computer forensics expert to obtain a forensics image as soon as possible.
